Company Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) said the Focus sold in Indonesia is safe, so free from recall. Ford Focus in Indonesia do not have manufacturing defects such as those in the United States.
"Focus is here different from those sold in America," said Lea Kartika Indra, Communications Director of FMI to Otosia.com not long ago.

According to Lea, in addition to different types, to consumers in the U.S. Focus is not the same as those marketed in Indonesia. "The type that do not go there here and there in Indonesia. So Focus here is not the problem. Nothing to do with the recall of events such as those in America," said Lea.

Lea said the Focus for Indonesia came from the factory Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM), while the recalled models are manufactured and intended for consumers Uncle Sam. "From the type and origin of the manufacturer have been different, so once again safe Focus on Indonesia. Wiper problem complained of in America, here is fine, no problem," said Lea.

Previously reported, Ford Motor Co. U.S. announces recall of 140 310 units of the Focus sedan and hatchback. This action was announced Institutions Highway Traffic Safety (NHTSA) United States on Tuesday local time. In his written statement, NHTSA said that the 2012 Ford Focus Alert potentially have a problem because the fan penyelaput wiper easily leak.

Furthermore, it allows water to leak into the engine wiper and cause electrical short circuit. Wiper can be jammed, thereby reducing the driver's visibility, and furthermore may lead to accidents.

Although withdrawn, until now no reports of accidents or casualties related problem. Withdrawals will be made starting May 21, 2012. In addition to replacing penyelaput, Ford will clean the wiper plug and electric motor.
In Indonesia alone, the Ford Focus is also outstanding. However, these models will be drawn up new possibilities to get in on the end of this year. (KapanLagi.Com)
