No Fuel Price Rise on 1 April


Parliament plenary session to discuss the planned increase in fuel prices last until Saturday (31/03/2011) pm dawn. The end result, fuel prices will not rise on 1 April, but still could go up at any time.

After being suspended since the afternoon, the House of Representatives plenary session resumed at around 22:20 pm. Since the trial opened, the rain interruptions filled the courtroom and House Speaker Marzuki Alie, a leader court looks overwhelmed it.

Interruptions and protracted debates that have made session finished at 00:00 pm was so delayed. In fact, according to the mandate of the Act, the discussion of this 2012 Budget Amendment had to be completed by March 30, 2012, 30 days after the draft Revised State Budget submitted by the President to the Parliament.
Marzuki then proposed to extend the trial until Saturday (31/3) at 01.00 WIB and approved by the forum.

There are two options, namely (1) only includes Article 7 paragraph (6) which means there is no increase in fuel prices and option (2) fuel prices would not be raised now, but allowed the government raised fuel prices when crude oil prices (ICP) rose by Assuming 15% of 120 dollars per barrel are listed in the 2012 Revised State Budget.

The entry of this second option makes Hanura Party inflamed and they then decided to walk out of court.

Not long after, the PDI-P faction Hanura follow walk-out. Camps 'White Muzzle' considers the plenary forum is not respected. One more faction that refused to rise in fuel prices, the Gerindra, opted to stay in the arena.

With walk-outnya Hanura and PDIP, then option 2 was easily come out as a 'winner'. Through open voting, this second option got 356 supporters. Option 1 Just get a total of 82 advocates and 93 legislators who walked out.

After the session, Deputy Speaker of the House Taufik Kurniawan ensure that fuel prices will not rise on 1 April. "We make sure the fuel is not up as of 1 April 2012," said Taufik in the presence of media.
